Viktoria Plzeň suffered a defeat against Baník Ostrava in a thrilling match played at the Doosan Aréna in Plzeň. Despite dominating possession (56%), Plzeň couldn’t capitalize on their numerical advantage in shots (16 to Ostrava’s 7) and ended up losing 2-1. The match opened in the 57th minute with a goal by V. Jemelka for Plzeň, assisted by L. Kalvach. However, Baník Ostrava responded strongly, scoring two goals in quick succession: D. Buchta in the 59th minute (assisted by D. Owusu) and D. Owusu in the 64th minute. Despite numerous changes in both teams in the second half, the score remained unchanged. Baník Ostrava, with less possession and fewer shots, proved more effective, securing the victory. D. Buchta received a yellow card in the 88th minute.
