Petrolul Ploiesti Dominates Metaloglobus in a Goal-Filled Match
Ploiesti, Romania – In a match held at Stadionul Ilie Oană, Petrolul Ploiesti convincingly defeated Metaloglobus, in a game corresponding to the 18th round of Liga I. The match, refereed by Vlad Baban, was a goal fest that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
The first half ended with a minimal lead for Petrolul, thanks to a goal by G. Grozav just before the break, assisted by Y. Roche. However, Metaloglobus reacted immediately at the start of the second half, equalizing the score with a goal by E. Fernandes, assisted by D. Ubbink.
Metaloglobus’ joy was short-lived, as Petrolul regained the lead with a goal by V. Gheorghe, assisted by T. Jyry. G. Grozav reappeared on the scoreboard, extending the lead for the home side, this time with an assist from V. Gheorghe.
The match was also marked by intensity, with several yellow cards shown to players from both teams. G. Caramalau, M. Abbey, and L. Lis saw yellow cards for Metaloglobus, while D. Dongmo was cautioned for Petrolul.
In the final minutes, M. Dulca sealed the match with a goal that secured the victory for Petrolul, after an assist from A. Botogan.
