Paraguay Secures Late Win in Lima
Lima, Peru – In a hard-fought match at the Estadio Nacional de Lima, Paraguay secured an important away victory against Peru in the South American World Cup Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The match, refereed by Argentinian Nicolás Ramírez, was characterized by a tight midfield battle, with Peru dominating possession (54%) and Paraguay relying on counter-attacks.
Despite their superior possession, Peru struggled to convert their opportunities, registering 11 total shots, only 3 of which were on target.
