Pendikspor Edges Out Erokspor in Thrilling Istanbul Match
Pendikspor defeated Erokspor 3-1 in a thrilling match at the Siltaş Yapı Pendik Stadyumu in Istanbul, Turkey. The game, part of the 26th round of the Turkish 1. Lig, was officiated by Ilker Yasin Avci.
Although Erokspor controlled possession (53%), Pendikspor proved more clinical in front of goal. Erokspor took the lead in the 10th minute through E. I. Furat, assisted by F. Orak. However, Pendikspor responded strongly. Y. Del Valle (28th minute) and M. Demir (45th minute) put the home side ahead before halftime. In the 8th minute, Pendikspor had a penalty missed by A. Ozturk, a disallowed goal for offside, and later, a goal allowed by the same player that was disallowed after a VAR review.
In the second half, J. Fernandes pulled one back for Erokspor in the 79th minute, assisted by H. Catakovic, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat. The match ended 3-1 to Pendikspor, who demonstrated superior attacking efficiency, despite Erokspor registering more shots (14 to 11). Pendikspor received one yellow card, while Erokspor received two.
