Thrilling Draw in Belém: Paysandu and Operário-PR Share the Spoils
In a hard-fought match at Estádio Leônidas Sodré de Castro, Paysandu and Operário-PR drew two-all in a game filled with emotions and cards. Diogo Oliveira opened the scoring for Paysandu in the 27th minute, assisted by Mauricio Garcez, giving hope to the home fans. However, the joy was short-lived as Neto Paraiba equalized for Operário-PR in the 40th minute, assisted by Boschilia.
In the second half, Boschilia converted a penalty in the 50th minute, putting Operário-PR ahead. Despite Operário-PR’s territorial dominance (52% possession) and Paysandu’s constant attempts to level the score, the match ended in a two-all draw. The game was marred by the large number of yellow cards shown by referee Lucas Canetto Bellote, highlighting the intensity of the clash. Paysandu finished with one yellow card, while Operário-PR accumulated four.
