Chapecoense Triumphs Over Paysandu in Belém
Chapecoense secured a 2-0 victory against Paysandu in a thrilling match played at the Estádio Estadual Jornalista Edgar Augusto Proença in Belém, Pará, on April 16th, 2025. Despite Paysandu’s superior possession (64%), Chapecoense proved more clinical in attack.
Mailton opened the scoring in the 26th minute with an assist from Rafael Carvalheira, and Joao Paulo doubled the lead in the 35th minute. The match was a tense affair, with both teams receiving two yellow cards in the first half.
