Guingamp defeated Pau FC 3-1 in a thrilling match at the Stade Nouste Camp in Bizanos on May 10th, 2025. The game, part of Ligue 2’s 34th round, was marked by the expulsion of Pau FC’s Mboup in the 53rd minute.
Guingamp took the lead in the 40th minute with a goal from S. Nair, assisted by R. Ghrieb. Pau FC equalized quickly, with a goal from A. Mille in the 43rd minute, assisted by T. Koudou. However, Guingamp’s numerical advantage showed in the second half. H. Picard scored the 2-1 in the 56th minute, also assisted by R. Ghrieb. In the closing stages of the game, A. Sagna sealed the victory with a 3-1 goal in the 81st minute, assisted by H. Picard.
Guingamp dominated possession (53%) and created more scoring chances (12 shots, 7 on target), while Pau FC had 8 shots (2 on target). Both teams received several yellow cards, but Mboup’s red card proved to be a turning point. Despite the loss, Pau FC showed tenacity and competitiveness.
