Paris Saint-Germain defeated Olympique de Marseille 3-1 in a thrilling match at the Parc des Princes in Paris on March 16th, 2025, in the 26th round of Ligue 1. The match, refereed by Clement Turpin, saw PSG dominate possession (60%), reflected in their superior shot count (16 to 11).
Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring for the home side in the 17th minute, assisted by Fabian Ruiz. Nuno Mendes doubled the lead before halftime (42′), also assisted by Ruiz. While Amine Gouiri pulled one back for Marseille early in the second half (51′), a Pablo Lirola own goal in the 76th minute, following a pass from Achraf Hakimi, sealed the Parisian victory. PSG finished with one yellow card and 7 fouls, while Marseille committed 9 fouls and received no cards.
