PSG Rout Aston Villa in Dominant Champions League Display
Paris, April 9, 2025 – Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa in a captivating UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash at the Parc des Princes. The Parisians dominated possession (75%) and created numerous goal-scoring opportunities, converting four of them.
Aston Villa took the lead in the 35th minute through Morgan Rogers, assisted by Youri Tielemans. However, PSG responded swiftly. Just four minutes later, D. Doue leveled the score, with an assist from Nuno Mendes. In the second half, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia extended the home side’s lead in the 49th minute, and Nuno Mendes sealed the victory with a goal in the 90th minute, assisted by Ousmane Dembele.
Despite the defeat, Aston Villa showed grit and determination, but PSG’s superiority was evident throughout the match. Matty Cash received a yellow card in the 17th minute.
