PAOK Thrashes Lamia in Dominant Display
PAOK secured a resounding 8-0 victory over Lamia at the Stadio Toumbas in Thessaloniki on February 16th, 2025, in a Super League 1 matchday 23 clash. PAOK’s dominance was evident throughout, reflected in their 71% possession and 18 shots on goal, 10 of which were on target.
The goals started early. A. Samatta opened the scoring in the 25th minute, assisted by J. Sastre. G. Konstantelias stole the show with a hat-trick (37th, 51st, and 58th minutes), receiving assists from A. Samatta and A. R. Baba. F. Chalov added another goal in the 72nd minute, also assisted by J. Sastre. A. Zivkovic (86th minute) and S. Shoretire (90th minute) added late goals to complete the rout. An A. R. Baba goal was disallowed for offside.
Lamia managed only 5 shots, with just one on target, offering little threat. The match was characterized by PAOK’s overwhelming superiority in all aspects of the game. M. Ozdoev of PAOK and T. Lake of Lamia received yellow cards. The referee was Konstantinos Katikos.
