PAOK falls to FCSB in a tense encounter
PAOK suffered a defeat against FCSB in a thrilling match played at the Stadio Toumbas in Thessaloniki, corresponding to the UEFA Europa League 2024 Play-off Round. The match, refereed by Lawrence Visser from Belgium, was marked by a high number of cards and intense play.
Despite opening the scoring with a goal from A. Samatta in the 21st minute (assisted by D. Pelkas), PAOK was outmatched by FCSB’s greater effectiveness. The expulsion of Taison in the 45th minute, after accumulating two yellow cards, was a turning point in the match. FCSB took advantage of their numerical superiority and scored two goals, one from A. Gheorghita in the 50th minute (assisted by F. Tanase) and another from J. Dawa in the 60th minute (assisted by R. Radunovic).
