Palmeiras and Universitario Draw in Tense Match at Allianz Parque
São Paulo, August 22, 2025 – Palmeiras and Universitario drew in a hard-fought match in the Round of 16 of the CONMEBOL Libertadores, played at the Allianz Parque. The match, refereed by Chilean Piero Maza, was characterized by high intensity and constant midfield battles.
Palmeiras dominated possession with 66%, seeking to control the rhythm of the game, but found it difficult to translate their dominance into clear goal-scoring opportunities. Of their 9 shots, only one was on target.
