Tense Draw in São Paulo Marked by Discipline
São Paulo, Brazil – The match between Palmeiras and Cruzeiro at the Allianz Parque, corresponding to matchday 30 of Serie A, concluded in a goalless draw in a tense and contested match. Referee Rafael Rodrigo Klein had a busy night, showing a total of eight yellow cards and one red card.
Palmeiras dominated ball possession with 52%, trying to generate danger with 13 shots, of which only four were directed at the goal. Cruzeiro, on the other hand, defended solidly and looked for opportunities on the counterattack, adding 11 shots, also with four on target.
The midfield was a battlefield, with numerous fouls committed by both teams. Palmeiras incurred in 24 fouls, while Cruzeiro committed 16.
