Corinthians Triumphs Over Palmeiras in Thrilling Paulista Final
São Paulo, Brazil – Corinthians claimed the 2025 Paulista A1 title after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Palmeiras at Allianz Parque in front of a passionate crowd. The match, played on March 16th at 9:30 PM, saw Palmeiras dominate possession (56%) and generate 22 shots (8 on target), but it was Corinthians who emerged victorious.
A goal by Yuri Alberto in the 58th minute, assisted by Memphis Depay, proved to be the difference-maker. The striker capitalized on a crucial chance to beat the Palmeiras defense. Despite their territorial advantage and numerous corner kicks (13), Palmeiras couldn’t find the back of the net.
