Pakhtakor defeats Al Sadd in thrilling AFC Champions League clash
Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Pakhtakor emerged victorious over Al Sadd with a 2-1 win in a captivating AFC Champions League group stage match played at Tashkent’s JAR Stadium on February 17th, 2025. The game was characterized by intensity, goals, red cards, and numerous goal-scoring opportunities for both teams.
B. Riascos was Pakhtakor’s star, scoring two goals; the first at the 18th minute assisted by Flamarion, and the second at the 56th minute. Al Sadd responded with a penalty converted by H. Al Haydos in the 37th minute.
The match was punctuated by red cards shown to S. Sobirkhuzhaev of Pakhtakor (68th minute) and A. Ounas of Al Sadd (65th minute). Several yellow cards were also issued.
