Luckassen’s Goal Secures Victory for Pafos Against Villarreal in Limassol
Limassol, Cyprus – Pafos FC secured a valuable home victory against Villarreal CF in a match held at the Alphamega Stadium as part of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The match, officiated by German referee Sven Jablonski, saw the Cypriot team prevail thanks to a goal by D. Luckassen early in the second half, assisted by K. Sema.
Villarreal dominated possession with 59% compared to Pafos’ 41%, and generated a greater number of scoring opportunities, totaling 18 shots, although only 5 of them were on target. Pafos, with less possession, was more effective in front of goal, managing to score on one of its two dangerous approaches.
