Late Drama at Euganeo: Padova and Sampdoria Share the Spoils
Padova, Italy – In a hard-fought match at the Stadio Euganeo, Padova and Sampdoria drew in a vibrant and eventful game. Sampdoria struck first in the 19th minute, when M. Coda, assisted by F. Depaoli, found the net with an accurate shot. However, Padova, spurred on by their fans and greater ball possession (65%), managed to equalize in the 65th minute thanks to P. Fusi, who capitalized on an assist from M. Bortolussi.
The match was characterized by a physical game, with several yellow cards shown throughout the encounter. L. Henderson and F. Conti were booked for Sampdoria, while P. Fusi and Papu Gómez were cautioned for Padova.
While Padova dominated possession and had more shots (12 against Sampdoria’s 11), Sampdoria was more accurate in their shots on target (5 against Padova’s 2).
