Millwall Edges Out Oxford United in Tight Championship Clash
Millwall secured a 2-0 victory over Oxford United in a closely fought Championship match at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford, Oxfordshire. The game, part of the 2024 season’s round 18, was a tense affair characterized by a flurry of yellow cards.
J. Tanganga opened the scoring for Millwall in the 45th minute, assisted by J. Bryan. Oxford pushed hard in the second half but couldn’t break through Millwall’s defense. The match remained highly contested, evidenced by four yellow cards shown to Millwall players and a significant number of fouls from both sides. Oxford managed to score a late goal in the 86th minute through T. Goodrham, assisted by C. Brannagan, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.
