Thrilling Draw at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere: Almeria and Oviedo Share Points
Oviedo, Spain – In a vibrant and hard-fought match at the Estadio Nuevo Carlos Tartiere, Almeria and Oviedo drew in the first leg of the Promotion Play-offs Semi-finals. Almeria, with 61% possession, dominated much of the game, generating 15 total shots, 6 of which were on target. However, it was Oviedo who capitalized on their opportunities.
Almeria took the lead in the 24th minute thanks to a penalty goal converted by G. Melero. However, Oviedo responded with determination in the second half. Just after the start of the second half, S. Cazorla equalized the match with a goal from open play. The game remained intense, with several yellow cards shown to both teams and a goal disallowed for Oviedo due to offside in the 77th minute.
