Osasuna Dominates Alavés at El Sadar in Decisive Victory
Pamplona, December 20, 2025 – Osasuna secured a convincing home win against Alavés in a match played at Estadio El Sadar. The game, part of La Liga’s matchday 17, saw a more effective Osasuna in front of goal, despite having slightly less possession (48%) compared to Alavés (52%).
The first half ended goalless, but the second half was a red-hot festival. Watched carefully by referee César Soto Grado, Osasuna’s persistence paid off in the 72nd minute when Ante Budimir opened the scoring with a precise finish after a pass from Aimar Oroz. The lead was extended ten minutes later with a penalty converted again by Budimir. To seal the victory, Roberto García scored in the final minute of regular time, leaving the final score at a resounding 3-0.
While Alavés enjoyed more possession of the ball, they lacked sharpness in the opponent’s area, only shooting 7 times, with 3 on target. Osasuna, on the other hand, was more direct, with 16 total shots, 7 of them on target. The match was also marked by yellow cards, with two for each team.
