Orlando Pirates and MC Alger Play to a Tense Draw in Johannesburg
Johannesburg, South Africa – The Orlando Stadium hosted a vibrant and hard-fought match between Orlando Pirates and MC Alger in the 2024 CAF Champions League quarter-finals. The match, played on April 9th, 2025, ended in a goalless draw, despite MC Alger’s superior possession (63%) and a higher number of shots (9 to 9).
The game was characterized by tension, with a total of six yellow cards shown to players from both teams. Orlando Pirates, with less possession (37%), managed two shots on target, while MC Alger only managed one.
