A thrilling and goal-filled game took place at the Sixfields Stadium, where Burton Albion beat Northampton by a resounding 4-6 in the EFL Trophy.

The second half continued at the same intensity, and Burton Albion scored two more goals: B. Whitfield in the 66th minute, assisted by J. Cooper-Love, and finally, a goal from J. Cooper-Love in the 89th minute, which sealed the victory for the visiting team.
Burton Albion dominated the game in terms of possession of the ball (59%), shots (12) and corners (4). Northampton, on the other hand, was more effective in shots on goal (2 out of 4), but could not achieve victory against a Burton Albion that showed greater strength in attack.
