Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The United Arab Emirates defeated North Korea 2-1 in a thrilling match at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on March 25, 2025. The game, part of the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers (3rd Round – Group 8), was officiated by Khled Hoish of Saudi Arabia. The UAE dominated possession and shots on goal.
F. Lima put the UAE ahead in the 5th minute, but Kim Yu-Song equalized in the 43rd minute. The tension remained high until the 90th minute when S. Adil scored the winning goal for the UAE.
