São Bernardo Edges Out Noroeste in Thrilling Match in Bauru
Bauru, São Paulo – São Bernardo defeated Noroeste 3-4 in a thrilling encounter at Estádio Dr. Alfredo de Castilho, in the ninth round of the 2025 Paulista A1 regular season. The match, officiated by Murilo Tarrega Victor, was a high-intensity affair until the final whistle.
Noroeste took the early lead with a goal from Dudu Miraima in the 6th minute. However, São Bernardo quickly responded, equalizing with a penalty converted by Leo Jaba in the 16th minute. Leo Jaba scored again in the 31st minute to give São Bernardo the advantage. Before halftime, São Bernardo scored another penalty through Daniel Fabricio. Carlao pulled one back for Noroeste in the dying seconds of the first half. The second half continued with a back-and-forth exchange of blows and yellow cards, with São Bernardo ultimately securing the victory.
Despite Noroeste’s higher possession (61%), São Bernardo proved more clinical in front of goal. Noroeste had 11 shots (6 on target), while São Bernardo managed 7 (4 on target). Both teams received numerous yellow cards, with Noroeste receiving 3 and São Bernardo 4.
