NK Osijek Thrashes NK Slaven Belupo in Dominant Display
NK Osijek secured a convincing 5-1 victory over NK Slaven Belupo at the Gradski Stadion in Koprivnica, Croatia, in a matchday 33 clash of the HNL. Despite NK Slaven Belupo enjoying 68% possession, NK Osijek proved far more clinical in front of goal.
N. Omerovic stole the show with a hat-trick (8′, 25′, 30′), his first goal coming from a penalty, though he initially missed the spot-kick. Hernani (43′) and R. Jurisic (59′) added further goals to complete a resounding victory for NK Osijek. I. Dolcek scored the sole goal for NK Slaven Belupo in the 54th minute.
NK Osijek’s attacking prowess was evident, with 11 shots, 8 of which were on target, compared to NK Slaven Belupo’s 12 shots with only 4 on target. NK Slaven Belupo received two yellow cards, while NK Osijek received only one. The win further strengthens NK Osijek’s position in the league table.
