HNK Rijeka and NK Slaven Belupo played an exciting match at Gradski Stadion in Koprivnica on March 29th, 2025, as part of round 27 of the Croatian HNL league. The match, refereed by Mateo Erceg, ended with a 2-1 victory for NK Slaven Belupo.
Rijeka took the lead in the 17th minute with a goal from T. Fruk, assisted by D. Cop. However, Slaven Belupo fought back and equalized in the 64th minute through a goal by A. Grgic, assisted by L. Crepulja. The home side secured the win with a goal from I. Dolcek in the 76th minute, assisted by A. Grgic.
Despite Slaven Belupo’s slightly higher possession (57% to 43%), both teams created scoring chances, with 12 shots each (4 on target and 5 off target for each side). The match was a tense affair, with a total of 29 fouls and five yellow cards shown. Despite the possession advantage, Slaven Belupo only had 6 corner kicks, 2 less than Rijeka. NK Slaven Belupo ultimately secured a narrow but well-deserved victory.
