Newell’s Old Boys defeated Central Córdoba in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Marcelo Alberto Bielsa in Rosario. The game, corresponding to matchday 23 of the 2024 Argentine Professional League’s second phase, ended with a 3-2 victory for the home team.
Silvetti opened the scoring for Newell’s at the 25th minute. Central Córdoba responded with a goal from Atencio in the 45th minute, tying the score at halftime. In the second half, Miljevic put Newell’s back in the lead at the 48th minute. However, an own goal by Hoyos at the 57th minute and a goal by Cabral at the 74th minute put Central Córdoba ahead. Ultimately, Newell’s secured a 3-2 victory.
