Auzmendi Brace Secures Banfield’s Victory over Newell’s in Rosario
Rosario, Provincia de Santa Fe – In a hard-fought match at the Estadio Marcelo Alberto Bielsa, Banfield triumphed over Newell’s Old Boys with a score of 2 to 1, in a game corresponding to the Liga Profesional Argentina. Striker Ramiro Auzmendi was the standout player of the match, scoring a brace that proved decisive for his team’s victory.
The match, officiated by Jorge Baliño, began with intensity. The first half saw Banfield take the lead in the 44th minute thanks to a goal by Auzmendi. Previously, J. L. Alfaro from Banfield and G. Maroni from Newell’s had received yellow cards in the 20th and 26th minutes respectively.
