New England Revolution Dominates DC United at Home
Foxborough, Massachusetts – In a match held at Gillette Stadium, New England Revolution overcame DC United with a score of 2 to 0. The match, valid for matchday 26 of the 2025 Major League Soccer regular season, saw the home team set the pace, especially in the second half.
Despite a relatively even first half, marked by two yellow cards for DC United (C. Benteke in the 11th minute and Boris Enow in the 22nd minute) and one for New England Revolution (M. Fofana in the 59th minute), the second half was dominated by the Revolution.
The first goal came in the 62nd minute, courtesy of L. Campana, who took advantage of a precise assist from C. Gil to open the scoring. The home advantage was extended in the 70th minute, when C. Gil became a goalscorer, assisted by P. Miller. A match in which DC United failed to generate the necessary offensive play to worry the opposing goal.
