Napoli Thrashes Empoli in Dominant Display
Napoli secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Empoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on April 14th, 2025, in a Serie A matchday 32 clash. The game, officiated by Michael Fabbri, saw Napoli dominate possession (62%) and create significantly more scoring opportunities (17 shots to Empoli’s 12).
Scott McTominay opened the scoring in the 18th minute, assisted by Romelu Lukaku, who later added to the lead himself in the 56th minute with an assist from Mathias Olivera. Lukaku also received a yellow card in the 42nd minute. McTominay completed his brace in the 61st minute, again assisted by Lukaku. Despite the heavy defeat, Empoli managed 12 shots although only one of these was on target. Empoli also received one yellow card to Goglichidze.
