Napoli Thrashes AC Milan in Thrilling Serie A Encounter
Napoli secured a commanding 2-1 victory over AC Milan in a thrilling Serie A match played at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples. The game, characterized by its intensity and excitement, saw the home side dominate the first half, scoring two early goals. Matteo Politano opened the scoring in the 2nd minute with an assist from Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and Romelu Lukaku doubled the lead in the 19th minute, assisted by Billy Gilmour. Lukaku received a yellow card in the 40th minute.
The second half was more balanced. AC Milan, despite a missed penalty by Gimenez in the 69th minute and a late goal by Luka Jovic in the 84th minute, couldn’t overturn the score. Jovic’s goal came too late to change the result. Statistics showed a relatively even possession (52% for Napoli, 48% for Milan), but Napoli proved more clinical in front of goal. Milan had more shots (16 to 8), but Napoli boasted a better shot accuracy (3 on target to Milan’s 4). Both teams received one yellow card each.
