Kashiwa Reysol defeated Nagoya Grampus 2-1 in a thrilling match at Toyota Stadium in Toyota, Japan, in the 13th round of the 2025 J1 League. The game, refereed by Masuya Ueda, saw a fairly even possession split, with Kashiwa holding 51% and Nagoya 49%.
Nagoya Grampus took the early lead with a goal from S. Inagaki in the 2nd minute, assisted by T. Morishima. However, Kashiwa Reysol fought back, equalizing in the 33rd minute through Y. Yamada, assisted by M. Hosoya. Diego of Kashiwa Reysol received a yellow card before halftime.
In the second half, M. Hosoya put Kashiwa Reysol ahead in the 50th minute, again with an assist from Diego. Despite accumulating two yellow cards (Diego and H. Mitsumaru) and more fouls (13 to Nagoya’s 8), Kashiwa Reysol held on to their lead. Nagoya Grampus, despite their 13 shots (only 2 on target) and 8 corners, couldn’t break through the Kashiwa defense. An intense match that provided a great spectacle for the fans.
