Mushuc Runa SC and Deportivo Cuenca played an exciting match at the Estadio Olímpico de Riobamba, corresponding to the third round of the 2025 Liga Pro season. The game, played on March 1st at 7:00 PM, ended with a vibrant 3-2 victory for Mushuc Runa SC.
The match started with a yellow card for Bentaberry of Mushuc Runa in the 1st minute. However, Mushuc Runa took the lead quickly with a goal from Tapiero in the 4th minute, assisted by Gracia. Deportivo Cuenca responded in the 17th minute with a goal from Rodríguez, assisted by Mancinelli, tying the score. The match continued with tension, evidenced by yellow cards to Gracia (Mushuc Runa) and Calderón (Deportivo Cuenca) in the 29th and 30th minutes, respectively. Piedra of Deportivo Cuenca also received a yellow card in the 38th minute. Before halftime, Haquin scored for Mushuc Runa in the 39th minute, again with an assist from Gracia, leaving the score at 2-1.
The second half began with a red card for Raggio of Deportivo Cuenca in the 49th minute. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Mushuc Runa received a yellow card for Simisterra in the 63rd minute. Finally, Alonso sealed the victory for Mushuc Runa with a goal in the 90th minute. The match was quite even in terms of possession (50% for each team), although Mushuc Runa had a greater number of shots (20 vs 6).
