MTK Budapest defeated Paks in a thrilling match at the Hidegkuti Nándor Stadion in Budapest. The game, part of the 5th round of the 2024 Hungarian NB I season, ended in a 3-1 victory for the home team.
M. Jurina opened the scoring for MTK Budapest in the 15th minute, assisted by M. Kosznovszky. However, B. Toth quickly equalized for Paks in the 17th minute, with an assist from E. Silye. The match remained tied until the second half, where MTK Budapest showed their superiority. V. Hej scored MTK’s second goal in the 68th minute and B. Varju sealed the victory in the 78th minute with an assist from Hej.
MTK Budapest dominated possession with 54%, taking 19 shots (12 on target). Paks, on the other hand, had 46% possession and took 10 shots (4 on target). MTK Budapest received two yellow cards, while Paks received one.
