Grimsby Town secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Morecambe at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium in Morecambe, Lancashire on December 7th, 2024. The League Two match, part of the regular season round 19, saw a flurry of yellow cards, four for Morecambe and three for Grimsby. Grimsby enjoyed slightly more possession (51% to 49%), while Morecambe managed nine shots, three of which were on target. However, Grimsby proved more clinical. John Obikwu was the star performer, netting two goals (25th and 39th minutes), both assisted by Kieran Green. Danny Rose added a third in the 90th minute, assisted by Duncan Hume. Despite their attempts on goal, Morecambe couldn’t breach Grimsby’s defense, resulting in a 3-0 win for the visitors.
