Tight Draw in Mirassol: Penalty Decides the Fate
Mirassol, São Paulo – In a hard-fought match at the Estádio José Maria de Campos Maia, Mirassol and Sport Recife drew in a game decided by the narrowest of margins. Ball possession was evenly split, with a slight edge for Sport Recife (51%) compared to Mirassol’s 49%.
The only goal of the match came in the 34th minute, when Reinaldo converted a penalty for Mirassol. Despite attempts by both teams to change the score, the rest of the match passed without any further goals.
Mirassol created more goal-scoring opportunities, with 12 shots in total, of which 4 were on target and 4 went wide.
