An own goal by Muriqi in the 53rd minute gave Espanyol an early lead, but Mallorca quickly responded. Muriqi missed a penalty in the 63rd minute, however Asano scored for Mallorca in the 65th minute, assisted by Darder. Espanyol struggled to create chances, managing only two off-target shots. In stoppage time, Muriqi scored a penalty to seal the victory for Mallorca, who had 20 shots on goal, 7 of which were on target.
