Maccabi Netanya Edges Out Ashdod in Thrilling Ligat Ha’al Match
Netanya, Israel – Maccabi Netanya secured a 2-3 victory over Ashdod in a captivating Ligat Ha’al match at Netanya Stadium on Tuesday, December 3rd. The game, part of the 2024 season’s round 12, was characterized by its intensity and numerous yellow cards.
The home side took an early lead with I. Zlatanovic scoring in the 27th minute, assisted by I. Ben Shabat. S. Taji extended Maccabi Netanya’s advantage in the 44th minute, thanks to F. Vargas’ assist. However, Ashdod fought back strongly in the second half. S. Nachmani and A. Levi netted consecutive goals in the 54th minute to level the score. Despite Ashdod’s efforts, Maccabi Netanya held on to their lead secured in the first half.
