In a match played at the Estadio Bellavista de Ambato, Técnico Universitario defeated Macará with a score of 1-0 in the sixth round of the 2025 Liga Pro regular season. The only goal of the game came in the 45th minute, scored by Luis Chicaiza. The match was quite contested, with both teams showing similar possession, although Técnico Universitario committed significantly more fouls (19 against Macará’s 11). Macará had better accuracy in their shots on goal (2 out of 8 compared to Técnico Universitario’s 2 out of 9), but failed to score any goals.
