Ludogorets Prevails in Razgrad as Celta Vigo’s Late Response Falls Short
Razgrad, Bulgaria – In a match held at the Huvepharma Arena, Ludogorets secured a victory against Celta Vigo in a UEFA Europa League encounter. The Bulgarian team capitalized on their chances, displaying remarkable efficiency in front of the opponent’s goal.
The scoreboard opened early, at the 11th minute, with a penalty converted by P. Stanic, who became the standout player of the match by scoring again at the 49th minute, this time with a goal from open play thanks to an assist from O. Verdon, and again at the 62nd minute with a penalty. Ludogorets, with 44% possession, proved to be decisive in attack, with 4 out of their 7 shots on target.
Celta Vigo, on the other hand, dominated possession with 56%, but struggled to convert it into goals. Despite generating 16 shots, only 6 found the opponent’s goal. P. Duran scored for Celta at the 70th minute, assisted by B. Zaragoza, and J. El Abdellaoui scored the second goal for the Sky Blues at the 90th minute, also assisted by Zaragoza, but the reaction came too late.
