Lommel United Edges out Lokeren-Temse in Tense Encounter in Lommel
Lommel United secured a 2-1 victory over Lokeren-Temse in a thrilling match at the Soeverein Stadion in Lommel on November 29th, 2024, as part of the Belgian Challenger Pro League’s matchday 13. Despite dominating possession (72% for Lommel United), the game was a tense affair punctuated by yellow cards.
Lokeren-Temse took the lead in the 22nd minute through a goal from C. Van Daele. However, Lommel United fought back and turned the game around in the second half. Following a triple substitution in the 59th minute, F. Stevanovic scored the equalizer in the 66th minute. The newly introduced Stevanovic proved instrumental in the comeback.
