Lokomotiv Moscow secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Nizhny Novgorod at the RZD Arena in Moscow, in a match corresponding to round 25 of the Russian Premier League. The game, refereed by Mikhail Cheremnykh, was marked by the expulsion of Kakkoev from Nizhny Novgorod in the 31st minute. Despite being a man down, the visiting team held on until halftime, when a goal by Vorobyev, assisted by Rakov, opened the scoring (1-0). In the second half, Lokomotiv controlled the game with an overwhelming 75% possession. Pinyaev extended the lead in the 56th minute, and Karpukas sealed the victory with a goal in stoppage time (90′).
