Macará defeats El Nacional in a thrilling match
Macará beat El Nacional 3-1 in a thrilling match played this Sunday at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito.
The match began with an intense pace and Macará opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a penalty goal by D. Lopez. El Nacional tried to react, but Macará scored again in the 41st minute with a goal by D. Lopez, this time from open play.
El Nacional managed to pull one back in the 54th minute with a penalty converted by A. Chere. However, Macará scored again in the 87th minute with a goal by D. Lopez, securing victory for the Ambato team.
El Nacional ended the match with one man less due to the expulsion of S. Mazamba in the 77th minute.
