Levante Edges Out Mirandés in Tense Valencia Encounter
Levante UD secured a 1-0 victory over CD Mirandés in a fiercely contested match at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, in round 28 of Spain’s Segunda División. The game was characterized by tension and late expulsions.
Levante controlled possession (56%) and created more scoring opportunities (10 shots on goal to Mirandés’ 10), although their finishing proved lacking with only one shot finding the back of the net. That goal arrived in the 65th minute, courtesy of C. Alvarez, assisted by I. Romero.
A red card shown to Mirandés player A. Dadie Izagirre in the 90th minute proved a turning point, coinciding with a flurry of bookings and expulsions in the closing stages. Levante finished the match with four yellow cards and one red card, while Mirandés received just one red.
