RC Lens suffered a resounding defeat against RC Strasbourg at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis this Saturday, February 16th, 2025, in a match corresponding to matchday 22 of Ligue 1. The game, marked by Lens’ indiscipline, ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favor of Strasbourg.

Lens dominated possession (55%), but their offensive ineffectiveness was evident with only 6 shots, none of them on target. Their game was interrupted by a succession of cards: four yellows (Fulgini, Still, Machado (2) and El Aynaoui) and a red for Machado, which significantly conditioned the match. Despite their 7 corners, Lens failed to trouble the opposition goal.

Strasbourg, with 45% possession, showed greater efficiency, managing 13 shots, 5 of them on target. The goals arrived in the 81st and 90th minutes, courtesy of Bakwa and Emegha respectively.
