Chaves Secures a Bitter-Sweet Victory in Matosinhos Following Own Goal
Matosinhos, Portugal – In a match played at the Estádio do Mar, Chaves managed to secure all three points against Leixões in a game corresponding to matchday 16 of the Portuguese Segunda Liga. The only goal of the match came early, in the 4th minute, thanks to an unfortunate own goal by Naldo after a play without a clear assist.
The match, refereed by Vasilica Iancu, was characterized by a disrupted and tactical game, reflected in the numerous yellow cards shown to both teams. Chaves received three cautions (Bruno Rodrigues, Joao Teixeira, and D. Kusso), while Leixões received one yellow card (Bica). Despite the efforts of both teams, the score remained unchanged.
