Lechia Gdansk Edges Past Piast Gliwice in Thrilling Encounter
Lechia Gdansk secured a 3-1 victory over Piast Gliwice in a captivating match at the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk on April 26th, 2025. The Ekstraklasa clash, officiated by Wojciech Myc, was a rollercoaster ride until the final whistle.
Lechia took an early lead through T. Bobcek in the 8th minute. While B. Viunnyk had a goal disallowed for offside in the 39th minute, he made amends by scoring again in the 44th minute, assisted by M. Khlan. Piast Gliwice pulled one back in the second half thanks to a goal from T. Huk in the 54th minute. However, A. Tsarenko sealed the win for Lechia with a late goal in the 82nd minute.
