Lechia Gdansk Secures Home Victory Against Arka Gdynia
Gdańsk, Poland – In a hard-fought match at the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk, Lechia Gdansk defeated Arka Gdynia with a late goal that decided the score. The match, valid for the sixth matchday of the Ekstraklasa, was marked by intensity and a struggle in midfield.
While Arka Gdynia showed considerable effort, especially in containment, Lechia Gdansk managed to dominate possession with 53% compared to their rival’s 47%. However, clear scoring opportunities were scarce for both teams. Lechia Gdansk managed 13 shots, of which only 4 were on target, while Arka Gdynia only attempted 5 shots, none of which were on target.
The match was characterized by physical play, reflected in the 12 fouls committed by Arka Gdynia and the 10 by Lechia Gdansk. Referee Paweł Raczkowski cautioned three Arka Gdynia players and two Lechia Gdansk players.
