FK Crvena Zvezda Secures Thrilling Victory in Poznań
In a vibrant match held at the Enea Stadion in Poznań, FK Crvena Zvezda triumphed over Lech Poznan in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The Serbian team demonstrated great effectiveness in front of goal, despite having less ball possession (40%) compared to the home team’s 60%.
The match began with an early goal from R. Krunic in the 9th minute, assisted by C. Ndiaye, putting Crvena Zvezda in the lead. However, Lech Poznan reacted, and M. Ishak equalized in the 34th minute, assisted by J. Moutinho. The first half also saw a yellow card for F. Jagiello of Lech Poznan and another for R. Krunic of Crvena Zvezda.
In the second half, R. Krunic reappeared to score his second personal goal in the 51st minute, restoring Crvena Zvezda’s lead. The match continued with attacks from both teams, but it was Bruno Duarte who extended the lead for the visitors in the 73rd minute, assisted by M. Ivanic.
Lech Poznan, despite dominating possession and generating 11 shots (5 on target and 3 off target), failed to convert their opportunities. Crvena Zvezda, with the same number of shots, but with greater effectiveness (6 on target and 4 off target), took the victory from Poznań. German referee Tobias Stieler showed a yellow card to N. Frederiksen of Lech Poznan in the final minutes.
