LDU Quito Dominates and Defeats a Depleted Mushuc Runa at Home
Quito, Ecuador – Liga de Quito convincingly defeated Mushuc Runa at the Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado in a match corresponding to matchday 23 of the 2025 Liga Pro. The match, officiated by Yerson Zambrano, was marked by the overwhelming dominance of the home team, which enjoyed 66% ball possession and generated constant scoring opportunities.
The first half passed without goals, but not without incident. Alzugaray of LDU received a yellow card in the 39th minute, while Dos Santos of Mushuc Runa was sent off with a straight red card just before halftime, leaving his team with ten men for the second half.
